Christopher Keeys

Co-founder/President of Clinical Pharmacy Associates, Inc. and CEO of MedNovations, Inc.

He is Co- Founder and President/CEO of Clinical Pharmacy Associates and MedNovations, Inc and holds adjunct faculty appointments at the Howard University College of Pharmacy, Creighton University and University of MD School of Pharmacy. Dr. Keeys is a graduate of Howard University (BS, Pharmacy) and the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy). He is a registered pharmacist and board certified in pharmacotherapy. He actively practices or manages medication management services across the health care continuum and serves as a manager/consultant to health care organizations and payors. He serves as a member of the Pharmacy Advisory Group, URAC, AIDS Drug Assistance Programs, BCBSA FEP and is President of the Drug Utilization Review Board for the District of Columbia, DHCF. He actively lectures, authors, and mentors in the areas of pharmacotherapy, HIV/AIDS and interdisciplinary practice, health disparity, pharmacy leadership, clinical quality improvement and tele pharmacy. In 2017, he was named the Small Business Person of the Year for Maryland by the Washington Metropolitan District Office. In 2019 he was awarded the Bowl of Hygeia award by the National Community Pharmacists Association.

Kenneth Dandurand

Co-Founder and CEO of Clinical Pharmacy Associates, Inc. and Co-Founder and President of MedNovations, Inc. Board Member Asperger/Autism Network.

Ken is an ASHP residency trained clinical pharmacist with a BS from Northeastern University and a Master’s from Oregon State University. As an entrepreneur and researcher for 35 years he co-founded Clinical Pharmacy Associates and MedNovations successful leaders in providing direct pharmaceutical care via tele-pharmacy. He is dedicated to improving the delivery of medication therapy management to consumers. To that end, Ken has authored a chapter in the Book “Misadventures in Health Care: Inside Stories” titled “Prescription for Error.”

Sabrina Keeys

Vice President of Clinical Pharmacy Associates, and Director of the Learning and Training Center

Dr. Sabrina Keeys obtained her B.S. and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Howard University, College of Pharmacy. With forty years of pharmacy practice experience and as a co-founder and current vice president of Clinical Pharmacy Associates, her professional roles include progressive pharmaceutical services within the community and hospital care settings. Practice specialties include therapeutic drug and adverse drug event monitoring, data submission to FDA MedWatch and VAERS, drug utilization and formulary drug reviews, quality improvement initiatives and reports. She worked as an active member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee for close to a decade and has been involved in hospital department presentations (emergency room, ophthalmology, endocrinology, and others) on topics of proper medication use and adverse event prevention. She founded the CPA Learning and Training Center as a venue for professional pharmacy training and education and for community education on disease states and medication knowledge. She has been instrumental in the development and initiation of Mednovate Connect, a telehealth Medication Therapy Management service designed to provide personalized medication management assistance to the aging community and others. Previous work included critical care pharmacy practice, certified intravenous therapy and code blue responder, abstractor for International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, community speaker’s bureau and multidisciplinary hospital rounding. Dr. Keeys is currently licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Bamidele O. Kalejaiye

Senior Associate

Dr. Bamidele Kalejaiye received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Howard University College of Pharmacy in Washington, DC (2000) and completed her Pharmacy Practice residency with Clinical Pharmacy Associates (CPA) in Laurel, Maryland (2001).  Her professional experiences include positions as Clinical Consultant Pharmacist with CPA and MedNovations, Inc. in Laurel Maryland, Pharmacy Medication Safety Officer/Internal Medicine Pharmacist at Howard University Hospital in Washington DC, Intensive Care Unit Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington, Virginia.  Dr. Kalejaiye has served on hospital Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Medication Safety, and Infection Control committees at the above institutions, and was the lead pharmacist on the Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) implementation team for therapeutic guideline development at Virginia Hospital Center. She is currently involved in formulary management processes, adverse drug reaction monitoring activities, and conducting drug utilization reviews on the DC Aids Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) and Health Services for Children with Special Needs (HSCSN) enrollees, with CPA.

Dr. Kalejaiye is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist and an American Academy of HIV Medicine HIV Pharmacist.

Sneha Gawali-Keeys

Program Manager

Dr. Sneha Gawali-Keeys obtained her Bachelor of Arts from V.G. Vaze College of Arts, Master’s in Management Studies from SASMIRA’s Institute of Management Studies and Research, and Doctor of Philosophy in Instructional Management and Leadership from Robert Morris University. Dr. Gawali-Keeys has 7 years of experience in the fields of telecom and education. For her doctoral research, Dr. Gawali-Keeys explored the use of game mechanics to augment traditional learning and training methods. She has served in various capacities in the field of Human Resources, specifically in employee life cycle management, and has experience in program management. Dr. Gawali-Keeys is keen on using innovative methods, such as gamification, with a support of theoretical knowledge for the betterment of learning outcomes. She currently serves as a Program Manager for CPA Mednovations.

Zemen Habtemariam

Dr. Zemen Habtemariam, PharmD, is a Pharmacy Practice Fellow for Clinical Pharmacy Associates. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from University of Maryland, College Park and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He serves as the Pharmacy Practice Research Fellow for Clinical Pharmacy Associates, Inc. He has had broad range of pharmacist experience in community, managed care, and clinical trial settings. He has previously served as the Pharmacist of Record on multiple investigational drug trials. He also assisted in coordinating transitions of care for atypical antipsychotic patients for the Maryland Medicaid Peer Review Program, and conducted comprehensive medication reviews for Spanish-speaking patients for AdhereHealth

Jenny Van Amburgh

Jenny is a clinical pharmacist with a Bachelor's and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS). She completed a post-graduate residency in Ambulatory Care and Adult Teaching and Learning at ACPHS and Altamont Primary Care and is a Board Certified in Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP) and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). Jenny is a Fellow of the American Pharmacist Association (APhA) and National Academies of Practice (NAP) She has spent the majority of her clinical career working in federally qualified community health centers in Dorchester and Hyannis (Massachusetts) serving patients with complex medical problems. She is dedicated to improving medication adherence resulting in better disease outcomes through the education of patients she serves.

Debra Copeland-Mahfouz

Deb is a clinical pharmacist with a Bachelor's and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy. She completed a drug-development fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and GlaxoWellcome.  She has worked in the private sector as a community pharmacist and has worked with inpatient and ambulatory care patients during her time at Northeastern University.  She is dedicated to improving the understanding of medication therapy to all patients she serves.

Michael Gonyeau

Mike is a clinical pharmacist with a Bachelor's and Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. He completed a post-graduate residency in Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center and is a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and National Academies of Practice (NAP). Mike has focused his clinical career on health professional training, medication reconciliation, transitions of care, and patient education to improve the health of his community.
